At Eastboro Designs, good design starts with questions. How do you as the homeowner want your home to function and to feel? What’s good about your home’s current design and what don’t you like? How will your home need to evolve over the next 10, 15, 20 years?

Deirdre Jorssen, Eastboro’s founder and lead designer, knows that good questions lead to good solutions. That’s why she’s been asking them for two decades while working for some of Ottawa’s luxury kitchen and bathroom design services, collaborating with her design partner and husband on the creation of a national award-winning design centre, and, since 2020, operating her own boutique design business.

Creating a lifestyle through design has always been Deirdre’s primary goal. Her work is distinguished by balance, the use of timeless materials and the incorporation of bold details. Clients turn to her for her expertise but come away as well with a deep appreciation for the pride she takes in creating excitement and involving them in the process to make each project one-of-a-kind.
