The Pathways at Findlay Creek model homes are part of a multi-builder, master-planned community in Ottawa’s booming south end. About 900 homes will eventually be built in the community of Pathways.
The three builders —
eQ Homes, Phoenix Homes and
Richcraft Homes — have opened a total of nine model homes at the site. The single-family and townhome models have been designed with everything from Scandinavian-themed to classic interiors.
The Riviera, eQ Homes
This two-storey single is designed with inter-generational families, those with adult children at home, or anyone who wants the flexibility to offer guests their own space in mind.
The 3,400-square-foot home has four bedrooms plus an optional main-floor in-law suite, which is how the model is done.
The Blackburn, eQ Homes
Boasting a Scandinavian style that takes inspiration from nature, this two-storey single is a popular floor plan featuring 2,119 square feet and three bedrooms.
It also includes a generous second-floor family room .
The Firestone, eQ Homes
This two-bedroom bungalow is a smaller version of eQ’s popular and award-winning Alexander model.
Inspired by a beach vacation house, it offers a cosy four-season sunroom in its 1,500 square feet.
The Clementine, eQ Homes
The low-rise Clementine comprises back-to-back townhomes with two bedrooms and 1,147 square feet.
Homes include a balcony, nine-foot ceilings on the second floor, a privately located powder room and an oversized walk-in closet in the primary bedroom. The towns also feature granite countertops and soft-close doors in the kitchen, generous windows and more.
The Addison, Richcraft Homes
The Addison is Richcraft’s smallest two-storey town, coming in at 1,834 sq. ft., but packs a lot of features into the space. The home won the trophy for production home attached, 2,000 sq. ft. or less, at the 2023 Ottawa Housing Design Awards.
It is features a vaulted ceiling in the living room with a fireplace, a second-floor laundry and a finished rec room.
The model’s decor mixes new, sleek pieces with antiques and accessories with both Bohemian and Scandinavian influences.
The Pinefield, Richcraft Homes
The Pinefield is a new floor plan and one of the builder’s largest homes on a 44-foot lot. It has four bedrooms (with an option for a fifth) and 3,060 square feet.
The kitchen includes dark green cabinets paired with a simple white subway tile in the kitchen.
The Mapleview, Richcraft Homes
Part of the Flynn X Richcraft series, where the builder collaborated with architect Jason Flynn, the Mapleview bungalow has a theme of timeless transition.
The 1,695-square-foot home comes with two bedrooms (there’s an option for a third downstairs) and a flex room that in the model is outfitted as a TV room, leaving the main living/dining/kitchen area for entertaining.
The Hudson, Richcraft Homes
The Hudson is a mid-sized townhome with three bedrooms and 2,130 square feet, not including the finished basement.
Already an award-winning floor plan as well, at Pathways the model is filled with darker, masculine tones that pair well with warm metal accents throughout. Black marble, bold tile and deep earthy colours provide focal points in the model.
The Melbourne, Phoenix Homes
Phoenix’s model at Pathways is the 2,233-square-foot Melbourne. This two-storey single is on a 35-foot lot and appeals to young families as well as empty nesters who want to downsize yet still be in a single-family home.
The three-bedroom home, which has an option for a fourth bedroom, is 2,233 square feet with design details such as a three-sided fireplace and plenty of black or charcoal accents.
