McEwen’s Mill is a rural subdivision of 60 country lots just south of Carleton Place by builder BLD Homes. Floor plans are a mix of bungalows and two-storey singles, most with three-car garages. McEwen’s Mill is located just south of Carleton Place in Beckwith, close to Mississippi Lake and the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail.
Nearby Carleton Place is a town of 14,000 on the Mississippi River that is fully serviced with a variety of amenities. A combination of small independent businesses and big-box retailers join both public and Catholic schools, sports and other recreation facilities, restaurants and services. Two private bus lines provide commuter services to Ottawa and the town is also served by the four-lane Hwy. 7 into Ottawa.
